Rape of mentally ill patient, accused arrested

An inhumane incident where a man raped a female patient who was admitted and undergoing treatment in a government hospital took place in a government hospital in Kalaburagi district.

A thirty-six-year-old woman with mental illness is being treated in the hospital for the past seven months. It's like she can't even talk. And she has no one else. No one has come to take away the woman. However, the hospital staff has been treating the woman for the past seven months. But a forty-year-old man named Mahbub Pasha, who came to the hospital at twelve o'clock last night, was raping the woman.

A man from Vijayapur, who was taking care of a female patient in the same hospital, saw it, caught him and handed him over to the hospital nurse. Later he was handed over to the police.

Not only did he come to the hospital due to the negligence of the security guard in the district hospital, he also raped a mentally ill female patient.

A case has been registered at Brahmaputra police station based on the complaint of GIMS staff nurse.
